What’s a Friday Flock In?
It’s a free, virtual lunchtime conversation with good people, great ideas and a whole bunch of inspiration. With a new guest speaker every time, Friday Flock Ins are a chance to explore different ways of thinking and doing, learn from people who are making great stuff happen, and connect with others who give a Flock about community, care and the future of ageing we’re all flying towards.

Who’s up this time?

For this Friday Flock In, we’ve invited Shani Graham to tell us all about geographic community, and how to create a sense of belonging and support between the people who live around you – whoever they might be. Shani will share her incredible story of the West Beacy Bunch, a community group of 370 households that organised 37 fun events last year alone, with 22 people volunteering their time to make things happen. And the best part? They do it all with just one meeting a year!

We’ll also hear about the Neighbourhood Village Project, and leave with a practical “recipe” for creating stronger geographic community where you live – whether that’s an apartment, a suburb or even the countryside.

So bring your lunch, a notebook and your curiosity, and flock in for a great conversation to end your week.

October 23 @ 12:30 pm 1:30 pm
