What’s a Friday Flock In?
It’s a free, virtual lunchtime conversation with good people, great ideas and a whole bunch of inspiration. With a new guest speaker every time, Friday Flock Ins are a chance to explore different ways of thinking and doing, learn from people who are making great stuff happen, and connect with others who give a Flock about community, care and the future of ageing we’re all flying towards.
Who’s up this time?
For this Friday Flock In, we’ve invited Gina Haebich to join us for a conversation about bringing generations together – and the magic that unfolds when we do.
Gina is a social worker and passionate intergenerational advocate, with more than 20 years experience working and volunteering across a range of community services. She founded Joining Generations to create opportunities for younger and older generations to connect and build mutually enriching relationships.
As part of this work, Gina has been running her own adaptation of the wonderful Generations Over Dinner concept, hosting local, free community dinners where five or so generations are invited to share a meal (and so much more!) together. We’ll hear about the conversation prompts she uses to break the ice and invite deeper reflection, what she’s learned from trialling different dinner formats, and the beautiful moments of genuine connection she continues to witness.
This Friday Flock In is a chance for Gina to spread this powerful idea even further – maybe you’ll be inspired to host one yourself!
