Have you been wanting to experience the Good Flock movement up close?
We’re hosting a special night in Melbourne so that you can step into the Good Flock world, and see for yourself how an alternative culture of ageing is already unfolding around us in real, tangible ways.
You’re invited to Laurie After Dark, an evening of comedy and conversation featuring Max Flett’s stand-up show, Laurie – a story of the year he moved in with 76-year-old Laurie for cheap rent, and ending up finding a best friend. The show will be followed by a live conversation with Max and Laurie on friendship, ageing, and what it means to share life across generations.
“Last year, I moved into a 76-year-old lady’s house for cheap rent and ended up making a best friend.
Laurie is a stand-up comedy show about the year I spent living with a 76-year-old lady. We met while I was doing her gardening (lol), and I moved into her house because I thought living at my parents’ would make it hard for me to bring dates back home (lol).
This year ended up changing my life. Laurie has shaped the way I think about life, love and Deal or No Deal. I worry the way I’m writing this makes it sound like she’s dead. She’s not. I’m just dedicating this show to her because she’s awesome.Cheers, Max”
So, if you’re in Melbourne, we’d love to see you there. Bring a friend and come along for a night that will leave you smiling.
*Trainscendence is a fully wheelchair-accessible venue, with elevator access to every room, and two accessible bathrooms.
We want everyone to feel welcome, so if you have any questions, or other needs, please email us at hello@goodflock.org and we’ll do our very best to support you.
